Kanza Mental Health & Guidance Center

Goal: $15,000.00

Specific Need

Hello Sabetha Community!

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. Kanza Mental Health & Guidance Center, Inc. continues to serve all residents of Nemaha County through its Seneca and Hiawatha office locations, as well as through home, school, and community-based services for children, individuals, and families. This year, Kanza Mental Health and Guidance Center has worked to attain certification as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center, which sets a high standard for mental health services and a focus on ensuring that we care for the "whole person". As part of this model of care we work closely with clients to assist not only with their mental health needs, but also ensuring that they have resources to care for medical and social needs including adequate food, employment, and housing.

We are eager to better serve the Nemaha County communities and are seeking support for two critical initiatives:

  1. Mental Health First Aid training: As the need for mental health services increases it is imperative that we provide education to individuals and agencies on how best to help those in need, and this training can be provided by Kanza staff to any individuals or agencies in Nemaha County that may encounter those in need.
  2. Enhancements to our buildings: Our Community Services building recently required extensive work to repair the sewer system, and we continually enhance all our buildings to ensure comfort and safety for our staff and clients. Your contribution allows Kanza to continuously make these improvements and have adequate spaces for client care in all the communities we serve.

The Kanza Mental Health Foundation is seeking your support to help make this vision a reality. With your financial contribution, your support will go directly to funding community education and continued investment in our buildings, which will make a significant impact on Kanza's ability to reach more community members.

Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Krista Eylar

Chief Executive Officer
