Specific Need
This year, we would like to use our funding to support our annual Community Baby Shower. The Community Baby Shower is a completely free event open to ALL expecting or new parents in Nemaha County. It will be held April 12th, 2025. Expecting parents and parents of infants are able to visit with a number of local organizations and agencies that provide services for new families and receive education on a variety of topics that affect new parents. We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community about this event, and it has also helped connect families with resources and assistance they weren't previously aware were available in our communities. We have served around 50 families at each of our two prevous events and hope to continue to see more participants. Our baby showers have been such a success thanks to generous donors through Give to Grow and local community donors that have made it possible. This year, we will be hosting in a larger space to accomodate even more local resources for families. We provide high quality door prizes such as car seats, pack and plays and other essential safety gear. We would also like to be able to continue to provide a swag bag filled with baby essentials and educational resources to each family that participates in the community baby shower.
Donations made this year will be used to fill our swag bags as well as to purchase any additional door prizes needed. If you or someone you know would like to participate in our baby shower, please reach out to our office!
