SHS FFA & Industrial Arts Support

Specific Need

Our goal for this year is to continue to update machines and tools in hope of expanding the education of our Students. Funds are also needed to help cover the cost of FFA trips.

Mission

The mission of the industrial arts program is to further sudents' knowledge and skills in wood working, whereas FFA promotes leadership and agricultural knowledge.

Profile

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education. FFA programs are funded through sponsorships and individual donations at the local, state and national levels.

Industrial Arts is an educational program which features fabrication of objects in wood or metal using a variety of hand, power, or machine tools. It may include small engine repair and automobile maintenance, and all programs usually cover technical drawing as part of the curriculum. Industrial arts degrees prepare students to work with wood, metal, machinery and tools to create consumer goods.

With last years support we were able to purchase a laser and CNC machine for the shop class!
